think it is important to emphasise straight
away that I am not teaching in a school through the day and trying to
earn pin-money in the evening.
I am a self-employed teacher and will arrive in your home fresh and
fully prepared to deliver tuition geared to your child's needs. I seek
to assess the pupil's needs and plan and deliver an appropriate course
of action. I don't just trot out the same old stuff for every child.
I taught for over 10 years in schools in the
Barnsley area, gaining experience over a wide age-range. I have
provided home
tuition since 1996. During that time I have further developed my
teaching skills
in a totally different one-to-one situation.
When a
parent expresses interest in my services, I
always suggest : Let me visit you (free of
charge). I can show you
my teaching
credentials and -most importantly- you can assess and evaluate
me. We can discuss your child's educational needs and I can
express my thoughts.
